Pollyn “How Small We Are” **Audio + Video**

The Los Angeles trio POLLYN is back with the lead single from their 2nd full length, Living in Patterns. “How Small We Are” marks a departure for the band and introduces us to their new, expanded sound. Faster, funkier, and fatter than anything you’d expect from a band previously labeled downtempo. They haven’t abandoned their signature atmospheric sound, but instead pushed it further while adding African percussion, multiple choirs and heavier synths to the mix. The single and album represent a giant step forward for Pollyn.

The b-side, or 2nd song from the single, is a cover of the Portishead song, “Mysterons”. The song will appear exclusively on the single, not appearing on the upcoming album. Their take on the opening track from Portishead’s Dummy album is almost unrecognizable, reconstructing it into a synth-ed out New Wave party jam.
