Portland, Oregon duo Moxie Black have joined forces with DJBooth.net to bring fans their highly-anticipated freshman full-length, How Did This Happen?. The debut project from rapper iLLA aka iLLAJ and producer Brian “Dekk” Dekker is a marriage of opposites. With rock-inspired arrangements, R&B melodies, electro-pop beats and swagger-drenched rhymes, the project’s 11 tracks span the gap between heartbreak and reconciliation; success and failure, hip-hop and indie. Featuring reader-approved leaks “Risky Bizness” and “So Much Better,” the album proper is produced entirely by Dekk and includes no outside collaborators. The project’s three bonus cuts, however, incorporate production by The Dust Will Settle, as well as remixes of Phoenix and Passion Pit.
